At ABF Sugar, we operate 21 plants, or what we refer to as ‘bio‑refineries’, that are highly efficient and enable us to do so much more than produce sugar.
With a history of investment, innovation and the focus to maximise every part of our raw material that enters our plants, we can produce a range of products derived from sugar beet and sugar cane. This approach not only reduces waste, but brings value to our business, to our customers and consumers.

Our product range includes a portfolio of sugar products, from the granulated sugar found in your cupboards, through to sugars in various formats for our industrial customers. We produce ethanol for both use in transport to decarbonise road fleets, but also for use in alcoholic drinks. We produce animal feeds and supplements for a range of livestock. We even grow an ingredient for children’s medicine to treat epilepsy as part of our speciality product range. But that’s not all - we are also a significant renewable power supplier that not only generates electricity for our plants, but also to sell into national grids.
